Bwah! I’ll believe he has 5 octaves when I hear him use it! Heck, and I like Adam. I think he’s a great performer. But I don’t think his singing is as spectacular as some try to make out. Very good, but not the next Yma Sumac. As for breathing issues, if people notice it, then you can’t say “you don’t notice it”. Kristen(Quote)
If he has a 5 octave voice why doesn’t he use it? He’s become extremely predictable Karma(Quote)
LOL, 5 octaves, it must be in the range that only dogs can hear. Star(Quote)
Adam has a 5 octive voice with professional control. I’m very familiar with that song and that era having been to Woodstock and playing guitar and vocals in a couple of semi-pro bands along the Way. He sang BTBW much better than John Kay ever did in his prime. Yes he gasps for air from time to time, but its only a split second and you dont notice it ( check with MasterClass lady for agreement on this one ). The other contestants , esp Gokey, gasp like a marathon runner crossing the finish line whenever they deviate from “hold the mike stand and sing your song in place”
ADAM FTMFW !!!! tomflush(Quote)
I’ve been waiting for someone to mention his loud gasping for breath. Kim Locke did it and so did David Archuleta.
Adam is the new “Gaspy”. MJ(Quote)
I agree with you. The one who is pitchy is Adam and nobody ever notices,he seems to be perfect in the judges eyes but he isn’t, nobody is. This is a very unfair and predictable “competition”, the judges are partial. I don’t dislike Adam, I just would like to hear some criticism from the judges.
Did they notice his breathing when he was singing last night? No,they did not. petra(Quote)
I really enjoyed Anoop and Kris. Kris didn’t sound pitchy to me at all! Something’s wrong with Randy’s ears, I think. Kristen(Quote)
My fav was Anoop. I thought his vocals were smooth & beautiful. I liked that he didn’t try to copy Brain’s Adam’s rasp. I didn’t like Quentin Tarantino telling him to make it gritty. EVERYBODY does that when they attempt this song, but Anoop didn’t. Loved it.
Adam is a very good showman, but I can see Hope’s point. Most of his performances have been just that – a “PERFORMANCE” with costumes, lights & jumping all over the stage. Just sing normally & do something different than the 2 soft songs he has done before. He’s getting predictable.
I thought Simon was unfairly hard on Lil. She sounded good & she didn’t shout. CC(Quote)
Definitely not this season’s best week. Can Adam Lambert just plain sing?? Why do there always have to be a costume and antics and drama? I think one week they should make them all just stand still with normal lights and sing. The radio and my CD player doesn’t have the ability to catch all the hopping and lighting and costumes. If I wanted acting, I’d go see a play. Hope(Quote)
