Neither one Twitters!
Clay Aiken blogged about that today and informed his fans:
CNN just did a story on someone posing as Kanye West on Twitter. Apparently, some losers think it’s funny to pretend to be other people (sometimes famous people) online. This is not news to us, as it’s been happening to me for years. But it made me realize that I have not yet informed you of something that you probably already know.
I am NOT on Twitter. (In fact, i think the legalized stalking that Twitter seems to be used for so often is repulsive) I think Twitter is the devil. I know you probably realize this already… but.. if you think you’re following me on Twitter (or anywhere other than this site) it’s not me.
Kanye said on his Blog:
(This spaz comes courtesy of losers making fake Kanye West Twitter accounts) I DON’T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER… WHY WOULD I USE TWITTER??? I ONLY BLOG 5 PERCENT OF WHAT I’M UP TO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I’M ACTUALLY SLOW DELIVERING CONTENT BECAUSE I’M TOO BUSY ACTUALLY BUSY BEING CREATIVE MOST OF THE TIME AND IF I’M NOT AND I’M JUST LAYING ON A BEACH I WOULDN’T TELL THE WORLD. EVERYTHING THAT TWITTER OFFERS I NEED LESS OF. THE PEOPLE AT TWITTER KNOW I DON’T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER SO FOR THEM TO ALLOW SOMEONE TO POSE AS ME AND ACCUMULATE OVER A MILLION NAMES IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND DECEITFUL TO THERE FAITHFUL USERS. REPEAT… THE HEADS OF TWITTER KNEW I DIDN’T HAVE A TWITTER AND THEY HAVE TO KNOW WHICH ACCOUNTS HAVE HIGH ACTIVITY ON THEM. IT’S A FUCKING FARCE AND IT MAKES ME QUESTION WHAT OTHER SO CALLED CELEBRITY TWITTERS ARE ACTUALLY REAL OR FAKE. HEY TWITTER, TAKE THE SO CALLED KANYE WEST TWITTER DOWN NOW …. WHY? … BECAUSE MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS LOUD!!!!!!!!!
Anoop Desai also informed his fans that he was being impersonated online. Its a real problem for celebrities.

I appreciate the celebrities who list their twitter accounts on their official web sites, such as Mandisa, so it takes the guesswork out of fake-ness.
I also wanted to say that this blog is very well put together. Nice job. connie d(Quote)
Too many people pretending to be celebrities on the internet already and now with the use of Twitter, it has only made things worse.
I’m not condemning Twitter in itself because obviously some love it and use it for the right reasons, but for the others that have no lives and pretend to be celebrities, it is a stalking tool.
I’ll wait until I hear it directly from the celebrity themselves before I believe a word about them from the likes of Twitter. Sharon(Quote)
Unfortunately, as long as there are people who believe they have that special relationship with a star, these fakers will prevail.
We need to ignore them and they will have no reason to continue. Marty(Quote)
Good for Clay & Kanye… that site is definitely NOT celebrity friendly… unless the celeb enjoys telling the world everything he/she is doing. It’s getting to be as bad as Gawker Stalker, which is most definitely dangerous to stars. Yeah!(Quote)
I take everything I read on the internet about celebrities with a grain of salt unless the celebrity has somehow confirmed it themselves. I really feel for them for having to put up with the rumors and impersonations. Everyone deserves a little respect and privacy, even a celebrity. Besides, real time reporting of a celebrities location can be dangerous to that celebrity. terri(Quote)
