Adam Lambert’s fans are having a meltdown over the recently revealed cover of his upcoming debut CD.
I don’t know what all the hoopla is about. It looks like a very pretty picture to me. Sure he looks a little too feminine but they are upset that he’s coming off a bit too drag queeny. It seems that they want him to stay on the butch side of the street.
I’ll go along with the criticism of the yellow eye shadow being a bad choice. His skin is too sallow for that particular shade, and I agree that the blue hair doesn’t happen naturally on humans but it does resemble feathers and those Dorsal guiding feathers can come in handy on long space flights.
His skin is rather too porcelain perfect though. The photoshoppers really went too far removing his acne scars and freckles. Heck, he doesn’t even have any on his lips. Speaking of lips, they look nothing like Adam’s lips and the nose looks like he’s had more work done on it.
Well, Adam did say he was intentionally going for the ridiculous, so the garment rending and eating of their young by the Glamberts seems a little overly dramatic, if you ask me.
I mean really, is the implosion on his Official Fan Club totally necessary?

Including one genius that decided to argue with Adam about him saying he wasn’t a drag queen but she begs to differ, and how her husband said he wouldn’t be caught dead buying that CD blah blah blah. Adam has never ever made a disparaging remark about anybody except Kanye and it was mild. It’s a shame his own fans don’t give him the same courtesy. I agree with him. “Find another singer”.
She’s absolutely correct. He never made a disparaging remark about anyone except, Gene Simmons, Rob Zombie, Clay Aiken, Kanye West and his own smelly sweaty fans, but his career hasn’t even officially started yet. There’s plenty of time to disparage plenty more successful artists in the months to come.

I disagree “laughing”. Clay’s comment about “rotting insides” was not directed pointedly at anyone in particular. Adam has said much more offensive stuff than that. You can try to spin it all you want, but Adam just isn’t very circumspect in some of the things he says and can be quite vulgar. To each his own. He is a different person than Clay and shouldn’t really be compared. Adam’s attitude and words stand on their own.

There is plenty of room in the entertainment industry for both of these guys. I just wish fans of each would leave the other guy (and his fans) alone.
Not a fan of the cover, or the girlie pictures, but that voice of his is astounding, and his stage presence is amazing. I shall just ignore all the fluff, and enjoy the heck out of his cd!!!
He seems like a very nice guy in interviews, and doesn’t appear to be any more conceited than many others from Idol.
As for the constant comparison to Clay Aiken, they are nothing alike. Both are gay, and that’s it. I don’t understand why a person cannot appreciate their incredible talent, without conducting a witch hunt.
Adam will do very well, despite the efforts of many. He is too talented to do otherwise.
Clay had the same problem with haters, and it didn’t stop me from going to 31 appearances to date! He is a super entertainer with an astounding voice and amazing stage presence!

Horrible and ridiculous. Even if the cover looked more normal I would never buy the CD. I can’t stand hearing a whole song, let alone a whole CD. All that screeching is very unpleasant. What a monstrosity AI produced this year. It is unbelievable. And they pulled the first video of Clay Aiken; according to them that was not the image AI wanted to project, just because he looked so sexy and gorgeous in a black leather jacket and tight jeans.
There ain’t nuttin Fierce about that cover. To steal Arnold Schwarzenegger’s words, aw it’s a girlie-man.

After I spit on my screen & cleaned it off and stopped uncontrollably laughing, I realized the label has decided to market him to either the gay tranvestites or middle aged women who fantasize about a certain kind of sex.
I am so Glad Adam let us know that the cover was supposed to be ridiculous! I was afraid he meant to be a serious artist and the cover would destroy any chance of that, but now I know he means to be a joke, so the cover fits right in! Thank you, Adam, for clearing that up. What will be the best song on the CD? My guess is a new version of “Purple People Eater!”
The cover is really ridiculous! But I think Madam would do anything and I mean ANYTHING, to get attention, look how much attention he is getting right now on the internet, but will it translate into sales? Don’t think so.

The cover is really funny, but why in the world did his label think they could do “campy” with the drag queen look when he IS a drag queen? You can only do “campy” when it is not your normal look! Campy for Lambert would have been butch.
Adam is making too much effort to be “different”, “edgy”, and “in your face”. He wants to fit right in with the rockers. He seems like such a poser and already thinks he’s a big star–well before any album debut. He needs to realize that it isn’t these set-ups, pictures, and OTT behavior that will earn him a spot as a rocker, he needs to put out music and give it some time. In TIME things may come, but he’s pushing it and trying too hard as are his fans. In the meantime people are laughing at his efforts to push things along.

Yep, they OWN him alright, and they can have him. At the new MJ movie he defended the cover and lumped himself in with the likes of Bowie, MJ and Prince. What a complete and utter tool. His CD is going to tank, and I for one can’t wait. The Sparkle Cows and the Grannies for Glambert can keep him. Won’t Madam be surprised when he looks out into his audience and sees 1,000’s of sweaty, smelly overweight middle aged female fans. That, right there, is the sweetest victory of all. I’ve never seen so many promotional dollars spent on anyone for the simple reason “to get attention.” I’ve said from the beginning, this guy is a poser and I stand firm.
He goes on a family friendly show, creates a stir with black nail polish, black hair and makeup…so what? He ruins the AI tour with dildos thrown on stage and making out with the mic stand like a horny teenager. He calls his fans sweaty, smelly and entitled. He has the arrogance to put down other artists all the while he hasn’t put out any real music. Huh?
This album cover shows the real clown that is Adam Lambert. Then he says he is paying “omage” to the past. Seriously? Who would want “omage” paid to them with a freaky album cover like this? He can’t spell either.

This is what happens when an enormously inflated ego gets in the way of good sense. Adam seems to think himself invincible, but he probably just drove 75% of his fans out the door with this latest spectacle. His timing is great, though….Halloween is just around the corner!

Scared me for a minute when I saw that first picture. I had already seen the real cd cover (been laughing for 2 days now) and then saw that one and thought that Adam really wanted to look different. Glad to know it’s not him and only his friend. Cute couple. They must have had good times sharing make-up tips. LOL
I can’t believe that rant from Adam’s official board. Talk about going overboard. The majority of people around the internet do NOT like the cd cover and that includes many Adam fans from his few boards. There are many that aren’t on the internet and were laughing at the cover, especially when his name is covered up and the reaction is “Who is SHE?” Then when they are shown the cover with the name on it, the response I’ve heard is “Ewwwww, what a freak!”
Adam then tweets that it was ‘intentionally campy’? Yeah right! Why did he have to even explain it if he was alright with the cover? He got people talking alright, but certainly not in the way he expected. Time will tell but right now he is considered a novelty act by MANY (yes, even a few in the industry), but after that cover, I’d say it safe to say that “circus act’ could be added to the description.
