EXCLUSIVE: Adam Lambert Curses At Designer After She Scolds Him Backstage

American Idol runner up Adam Lambert’s music has yet to make a big splash, but the singer is already a pro at stirring up controversy.

His latest encounter in infamy occurred backstage at the American Music Awards RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Designer Shane Starlet thought Adam’s AMA performance, which included simulated oral sex, was unacceptable- and she let him know it. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com she revealed the details of their showdown, which included Adam telling her, “Shut up, b–ch!”
“He was rude, the whole night he was outrageously unacceptable because since American Idol, his career has become more about being defensive of his sexuality as opposed to his music,” Starlet told RadarOnline.com.
When Lambert walked by her backstage, Starlet voiced her opinion of his performance. Starlet told RadarOnline.com that she told Adam: “Be gay, fine! But stop trying to defend it all the time, Adam. What you pulled tonight was disgraceful.
“You could have been huge but now you’re no different than a Jerry Springer low-life.”
Lambert responded to the critique by yelling out, “Shut up, b—h!” After having a public spat with OUT Magazine, having his Good Morning America gig canceled, and having his American Music Awards performance censored, Lambert has been busy defending his views and in-your-face antics.
Starlet, who was often on the American Idol set, is saddened by the change in Lambert.
“It’s a shame his fans don’t see this behavior and everyone appeases him and says nothing so I told him about it,” she told RadarOnline.com.”They do not see what we see when the cameras aren’t rolling and that’s unfortunate because he has tremendous talent and instead of focusing on creating beautiful music, he is more focused on creating controversy with regard to him being gay when it is truly not the issue he thinks it is.”
After their verbal altercation, Lambert’s team quickly rushed him out of the area before the situation could escalate further.
A rep for Lambert did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I agree with y’all about Adam’s diplomacy and sincerity in respecting opposing positions. I’ve always believed the “if you don’t like it, fuck you” attitude is a defense for insecurity. If you’re comfortable with your own beliefs, you tend to be comfortable with allowing other people to have theirs, even if you disagree with them. If Adam isn’t actually a confident and secure person, he certainly fakes it amazingly well.
Yes MadTex he has you and your ilk completely snowed.

Can we not debate without the low-blows? You seem like a smart man and one who likes debate. I respect what u have to say. Some respect in return would be nice.
My understanding is just fine. In your previous post you referred to yourself and “millions” who cannot forgive him. That is why I used the word. I never said that Adam had “millions” of fans. Millions did not vent that much. ABC got about 1,500 official complaints; out of about 24 million viewers. A tiny fraction of 1 percentage point. They got many more official complaints regarding cancelling him of other shows.
And I HAVE had an interesting life. “Daytime” just happens to be a genre of TV that I enjoy. That certainly does not mean I that I do nothing but watch soap operas! Geez! I used to be a member of the Daytime press, so that is another reason why I know so much about what appears on Daytime TV. (I wrote for TV Guide, Soap Opera Weekly, Soap Opera Update, etc).
And as i said No recovery for him,And if he does another album,Where is he going to get it played.Tv ,radio,depend on sponsorship.you think they are going to risk facing a public backlash and losing sponsorship deals by playing his cd,no way will that happen.the religious right are very powerful in the usa and they will bury him.so he can kiss his career goodbye,well at least then his fans will not have to buy his cd,they can probably get it free in pervert weekly,or something like that.couldn’t happen to a more arrogant person
Oh, come on. He also made the year end issue lists of other magazines as well, like Forbes, Time, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard.
Obviously, a lot of people in the industry respect him. And Isabelle, of course magazines want to sell well. That’s just good business. All magazines want to sell well all the time. That’s how they stay afloat. Duh. But if they felt he didn’t deserve to be honored they wouldn’t feature him. LOTS of artists are capable making magazines fly off of the shelves, not just Adam.
He is listed in the Rolling Stone magazine simply because they know that Adam’s crazy fans will be buying multiple copies of the damn magazine…simple.

You’re right. Some people are just mad that Justin is outselling Adam. But I think that’s silly ’cause there’s room for everyone. Adam’s fans should look at the positive; it was just announced today that he was voted Artist of the Year 2009 in Rolling Stone and his video is #1 on iTunes. Not too shabby…

I know right! Take me, as a fan, I have to watch what I say, even on my own Twitter account. The day Adam’s CD cover was released, I said that I didn’t like the picture choice. I lost at least a dozen followers. And several tweeted accusing me of being unsupportive. All because I didn’t like a freakin’ picture.
I wonder if the fantards actually think that he enjoys the fact that they are so patronizing to him….
