Pssst! Adam! The rolled up sock is off center.
Adam Lambert lost another gig. This time with Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve and had to settle for the Gridlock New Years Eve party at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. His publicist could be heard groveling to get something, anything, oh God please!. I hope zippers weren’t involved.
He will be sharing the stage with such unknowns as Kevin Rudolf, Wonderland, Qwes, Dakota Lamas, and Far East Movement.
The show’s host is Z-lister Pamela Anderson, but take heart, maybe he could do a “trolley stop” on Pamela Anderson and the tickets are only $150 which includes a slice of pizza, tasteless sexual displays and fireworks so it isn’t a total waste. Stick around to the very end because you won’t want to miss starting off the new decade with a hearty FU. Practice in the mirror at home to perfect your one finger salute because you’ll want to return the sentiment by night’s end.

then u must not have seen a lot of men!!!!!!
TYPO CORRECTION: I still think the class went out of idol when David Archuleta came in second to that very ordinary off key bar singer cook. David Archuleta was the perfect voice, the perfect gentleman and the perfect American Idol. I have never watched the show since. As for Mr. Lambert. Gay or straight NO ONE should simulate oral sex or any sex acts on national television. Lambert refused to apologize so I guess anyone that agrees with him is indecent and obscene.

Mary, I am also tired of people put Clay and Adam in the same sentence! I wish it would stop to..Its very aggravating thats for sure!
Mary,
I am sick of the comparisons, too. They are 2 very different artists. I am not slamming Clay. I love Clay, too. Not just Adam.
Go to the “Shut-Up, Bitch” thread; I expain myself there. I don’t want to bore people by saying the exact same thing twice.
Leslie, you are attacking Clay as most of the Glamberts do.
Did Glamberts really believe that Adam would have the appeal and charisma of Clay? No way!!!! Clay was not forced to anybody. He is so endearing, beautiful voice and personality, not to mention his gorgeous baby face. Everything just happened, he was absolutely surprised and couldn’t understand why people embraced him that way.
Adam is no Clay Aiken, and he will never be! Don’t you see it?
Clay does not need to ride anybody’s coattails. That comment from Adam was one of the first signs of his arrogance. He was still a nobody, and to this date he has not done much yet except drive people away by the thousands. And Clay was so right about his opinion after all.
Clay made all those appearances on TV that you mentioned, and many more. Clay and Ruben performed at the AMAs together, and they sang beautifully. This year they did not let Kris sing and see what happened.
I hope more and more people continue to see the difference between Clay and Adam and stop comparing them or even mentioning them in the same sentence. Not even their voices can be compared. Clay’s is way superior. I’m sick and tired of these comparisons..
You are right that Simon and others didn’t like Ring of Fire. But it was Simon’s job to give his opinion, so that’s why he was let off the hook. Also, that was so early in the season, I don’t think that the Glamberts were as plentiful or fanatical back then. The comment from Clay came to light many weeks later, and I think that, right or wrong, some Adam fans took it as a jealous back-stab.
And Adam’s mom, lol, she got the mom pass. I guess people thought that because he is, after all, her son, she can judge him as she pleases. Giving birth has its privileges.
But the whole thing was so blown out of proportion. I never cared that Clay said what he said. Free speech!
AMEN! Pixie and Just Me!! Clay doesnt need to follow anyone coattails..and if he did..i for one dont think it would be Adams! And plus that opinion was a answer to a question that was asked of him on his question thread..then he put in a blog! I to would of respected Adam more if he would of just let it go after his first comment..but he kept it going..he even bashed Clay in the RS interview he did! I think Adam needs to take the high road more..secially when the mother came up to him and on the performance on the AMAs he should of just apologized even if thought he shouldnt have had too..sometimes you have to do things in the world that you dont like to do..specially in the business he is in!
There is a lot of speculation as to why Clay made such a strong comment about Adam. I do know that Clay was asked innumerable times about what he thought about Adam. And there was that stupid rumor about him visiting the AI set. Fact is he went to the AI office to visit some friends, but someone put out a totally false rumor that he went there to try to meet Adam and that he was dying to duet with him. I guess his comment pretty much put an end that that rumor train.
I also have issue with the fact the statement that Clay made wasn’t really about Adam, but about American Idol itself. Somehow that all got lost in the hoopla about his opinion of Adam’s performance. And Clay wasn’t the only person who had a strong, negative opinion about it either. So I don’t know why it is being held over his head all this time. Maybe the Adam fans should spread the joy and pick on Simon… or Adam’s own mother.
I would of also had a lot more respect for Adam if he accepted, or at the very least acknowledged, Clay’s apology along with his several public statements to the media about it. That would of been the gracious thing to do.
Oh yeah. Clay did apologize. Didn’t he? Sometimes I think he shouldn’t of bothered since everyone seems to totally forget that.
Clay is on a down cycle right now. Even then, he did manage to make the news about his opinion (don’t know why everyone is so interested in his opinions) about the local school board. LOL.
And it was only last year that he was on major news outlets about not only his personal life, but also about his stint on Broadway.
Just Me does have a point. Most people just off of Idol do get a lot of press, so Adam is not all that unique in that respect. Time will only tell if he can maintain that or not. Also, you are right that it might be a little soon to say that Adam’s album is tanking, but fact is that the numbers don’t look so good right now and the way record sales work, unless Adam has a major hit, it is not likely that album sales will take off. Heck, Jordin had several big hits off her album and her sales were just good, not phenomenal.
Excuse me, Clay sneezes and it makes news? Sadly, the only time he got much press this year was when Adam answered to his insult. And just like Clay had the right to his opinion about Adam, Adam had to right to his opinion about Clay. End of story. If you ask me, they BOTH should have kept their negative thoughts to themselves.
Leslie,
When Clay gave his opinion of ONE performance, that was his opinion. He gave it on his private site and it was someone else that took that comment and spread it around. But even so, Clay had the right to his OPINION and he even said that Adam shouldn’t really care about what one person says about one performance.
Obviously Adam couldn’t let it go. He should have ignored it OR just said, “everyone has a right to their opinion” and that would have been it. But Adam had the audacity to say that Clay was riding on HIS coattails? What coattails?
Clay, of all people, does not need to ride on anyone’s coattails.
Of course Adam was in the news at that time. Idol had just ended and it’s like that every single year when the show ends. It will be the same for this years winner/runner-up too. It’s not because Adam is more special than anyone else. If you really want to look back and compare, Clay got a LOT more press, magazine covers (tons of them), tv interviews where he actually sat down and talked, as well as performed. He never once was on a show where he was just introduced and sang.
But then after the first time Adam said the “coattails” thing, then went on to make that same remark a few times after the first time. It sounded like Adam was the one trying to keep his name out there. Adam is still attached to Idol, 19, RCA and will be for quite some while. Clay is far beyond Idol. He fired 19 many years ago and has made a name for himself on television, music and Broadway — all without the help of 19, RCA, etc.
When Adam is still relevant in 7 more years, then perhaps he can say that someone else is riding on his coattails. But Clay will NEVER need to use Adam’s name to keep his relevant. Clay sneezes and it makes news.
Star,
I am not at all new to Idol. I watched Season 2 and was a HUGE supporter of Clay’s. I’m only new to all this fan-fighting.
I have never said that I think Adam is going to be a huge superstar. I hope he will, but I’ve never said that for sure he will be.
And, as far as I can see Adam has only been a part of ONE train wreck, the AMA’s, big deal.
And why are you jumping to conclusions about CD sales after only a couple of weeks? BTW, it’s half-way to gold! Why so cynical? It’s just out of the starting gate! And why does this site even compare Adam to Clay? You’re right, Adam is no Clay; and I’m sure he doesn’t want to be.
Adam is no Clay Aiken.
2003 was just the beginning of his career. One that started with enormous success and he has racked up one major accomplishment after another. All Adam has done is get a lot of attention for being a train wreck. If think that real success is the same as being the flavor of the month, have at it, but Adam will be long forgotten in 6 years.
You, Leslie, are new to Idol but a lot of us have been around since the first season. We’ve seen them come on strong and fade to nothing. So few really make it and all signs point to Adam being one of those that flame out fast.
You think he’s still going to be a big International star. I hate to break it to you but that isn’t going to happen. If he can’t make it here it isn’t going to happen overseas because RCA will not throw more good money after bad. His return on investment is terrible. His sales are so bad compared to the money invested in him that they will pull the plug and that will be that.
The new season starts in a few weeks and the new crop will get all of the attention from then on. This was Adam’s window of opportunity and he blew it.
Thanks Kristen,
I’m just a 40ish woman who thinks a lot of this is so ridiculous. I’ve never been part of a fan war. Even if I don’t like another artist, I don’t hate on them. I know several people, from teens to 60’s, that love Adam and none of them are in any type of fan war, either. So this is all shocking and new to me.
If I’m not mistaken, this all started when Clay (one of my favs, BTW) insulted Adam in his blog. Adam didn’t say anything until he was asked about it by a reporter. Then he said what he said. He had EVERY right to respond. And sorry to say, Adam was right when he said that Clay wasn’t getting headlines anymore. As much as Clay is a great guy and wonderful singer, he is currently NOT as relevant as Adam and I think that pisses all the people that post here off. 2003 was a long time ago.
Well, I don’t think you’re evil Leslie. Actually, you seem to be really fair. Just coming from a supportive fan’s POV. I can appreciate that.
I do think that the frustration some others have with some Adam fans are very real though. They have gone through years of seeing their favorite being attacked by vicious trolls from other fan groups with misinformation, sabotage and outright lies spread about the celebrity and the fans. The type of articles posted here are not the same thing. Even though the slant here about Adam may lean toward the negative… the articles are true or are actual articles posted by mainstream media. Nothing here is fabricated and spread around as if it is true. That is a whole different ball of wax.
There are too many fan wars and some see themselves being dragged into a fan war with Adam fans that.they.do.not want. Yet some Adam fans seemed bound and determined to do it. So they react against them and, unfortunately, against Adam. If Adam fans would just leave other celebrities and their fan groups alone… then they would probably be left alone to enjoy Adam all they want.
I know you can’t do anything to stop them. It is an unfortunate situation.
Danielle,
Let me explain to you what Adam has down his pants. A huge penis.
There. Now you are enlightened! Glad I could help.
Lets see here:
1) The Early Show
2)Barbara Walter’s Special
3)The View
4)Conan (this week)
5)Leno(next week)
Umm, where are Clay and your favorite other contestants? Oh, that’s right. Most of them have fallen off the face of the earth.
Mary, how DARE you say that I’m evil. YOU guys have nothing better to do than troll the Internet and look for targets to bash, tear down and laugh at. What does that say about YOU? Haters are evil. Not fans. Certainly not me.
And don’t come back at me with “I’m not a hater” B.S.!!! You guys are obsessed in your hatred. If all this wasn’t so sad , it would be hilarious.
And if you wonder why I come back and read all this nonsense, it’s because seeing what the 10 of you (minus Pixie, I like her because at least she backs up what she says in a respectful manner) have to say reminds me of seeing a mental patient walk down the street. You try not to stare, but you can’t help it.
What the hell does he have down the front of his pants, a colostomy bag? What an idiot.
That is sooooo funny!!!!! That man, who is unattractive to begin with, seems to be doing everything in his power to make himself totally gross, and succeeding.
mj, you have a wicked sense of humor.
“I hope zippers weren’t involved.”
Bwaaaaah
That is humiliating! I definitely believe in Karma. Those AL fans are unbelievably EVIL and he is disgusting.
Let me see 5,000 or ABC NYE with millions watching?
Wow, I didn’t know Kris and Allison were on that night. I may have to tune in to catch them while we do our normal channel flipping (and arguing over the remote). LOL
Good for Kris and Allison.
Ouch! It hurts when you fall.
um. NO Thank You. I will be watching Kris and Allison on Fox instead!
Bwah! Too funny MJ. Keep these blogs coming. How else will I know where in the world is adam lambert?
OMG, this is too funny poor guy he didn’t even have 5 seconds of fame before he is relagated to nowhere land!!!!!
BTW that is the ugliest man I have ever seen!!!!
Another place that he won’t be seen on television. Great way to promote a cd. Oh wait, that cd isn’t charting again this week so I think it’s on the way out. Talk about desperation.
A place where maybe 5,000 people (most likely not since it isn’t close to be sold out) who are drunk as skunks on New Years Eve may see him (and most likely not remember the next day) vs. Dick Clark’s New Years Eve event that is seen by MILLIONS of people. God, couldn’t he even get MTV? That would have been better than this freak show event.
This really is funny. $150 to see Pamela Anderson and Adam Lambert?? I don’t think so. I would rather stay at home.
The funny thing is that no ones cares……..he just isn’t that important.
OMG. I’m howling with laughter! Girl, you are phunneee. Is that the sound of laughter I hear coming all the way from the State of North Carolina?
