Mothers, daughters, reluctant boyfriends and fathers filled in the seats at Madison Square Garden Friday night for Z100’s annual Jingle Ball concert. The woman of the year, Taylor Swift was the headliner and put on an amazing thirty minute set that fans went nuts over. Before Swift even entered the building, the Garden was rocking thanks to Kris Allen, Owl City, John Mayer, Justin Bieber, Jordin Sparks, Boys Like Girls, The Fray, Pitbull, Jay Sean, Ke$ha, and Orianthi. The four hour long concert didn’t wrap up till well past 10:30pm leaving the audience amped after a thrilling show. Curfews were broken, voices were lost, and friends were made making the 2009 Jingle Ball a killer success.

Hands down, this was one of the most electrifying and exhilarating Jingle Ball’s to date but if we had to pick our favorite performances it would be Kris Allen. Yes, it was cool to see Adam Lambert present Taylor Swift and The Fray rock out, but watching Kris Allen jam out was by far the highlight of the night.
Mashups are so hot these days thanks to Glee but still fans were pleasantly surprised when Allen mixed his winning Heartless with a Coolio classic. If you were not at the concert, chances are you have already YouTubed Kris Allen’s stellar Heartless/Gangster Paradise mashup that brought earth shattering screams from the 18,000 plus fans. It’s hard not to fall in love with Kris Allen after watching this performance…

Justin Bieber could be my favorite! He’s so cute!
My personal favorite will be Justin Bieber, he is so hot!
I love Kris, he is a cutie, I think he is my second favorite Idol!
I adore Kris! What a wonderful talent he has. I think he’s actually gotten better since AI. He’s got the whole package …he can sing, play guitar as well as write songs, and he’s a cutie to boot!
Kris is one of the few from the AI alum that I would love to see in concert.
Kris is a freaking cutie!!!! I hope he comes closer my way some day!!!!
Awww, I like him, and I like his version of this song so much better than Kanye the Wad’s version. I’m also glad he’s kind of getting that contorted face when he sings under control. I was, however, waiting patiently for him to shove someone’s face in his crotch. Doesn’t he know that’s what people want to see?
He is seriously talented and doesn’t need all the embellishments so many singers use today. It’s great to see a performer who doesn’t dance around with a bunch of half naked dancers while trying to sing. He Sings and does a great job of performing.
I’ll bet the parents who brought their children to the concert were thrilled to see some clean performers.
I love that pic of Kris! He’s really been rockin’ up the charts, Live Like We’re Dying is #15 (I think) in the Top 40 and is #22 on Itunes singles overall. He’s seriously (for lack of more creative metaphor) the little engine that could
He’s cute. What I like about him is he is about the music unlike that other freak with the whips and chains.
Good for Kris!! Im glad to see he got such a niece reception and a good review! Hope to see and hear more of him!!!!
It’s good to see Kris Allen get such a good reception. He has true talent and doesn’t use any props or gimmicks. I wish him well.
